Meet our New Communications & Development Coordinator

We are pleased to announce that Kathleen Pendleton joined the Associates of the Boston Public Library in August 2020 as our Communications and Development Coordinator.

She will be working on designing and implementing the Associates' social media channels, preparing quarterly electronic newsletters, and coordinating constituency outreach. While the Boston Public Library is closed due to the pandemic, we believe that social media outreach will be especially important to stay connected with the greater library community.

Kathleen brings years of experience in non-profit event production and volunteer management. She comes to the Associates from Boston magazine, a monthly magazine concerning life in Greater Boston, where she served as the Manager of Consumer Marketing and Events. Prior to that position, Kathleen worked at the Boston Symphony Orchestra’ s development events and volunteer services office. While with the BSO, she worked with a passionate group of volunteers on award-winning fundraising galas and donor-centric stewardship events such as the inaugural events at the Linde Center for Music and Learning.  Kathleen is a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in history.

You can see some of the events that she worked on at www.kathleenpendleton.com. She looks forward to bringing this experience to next year's Literary Lights dinner.

If you are interested in learning more about the Associates' social media or communications, please reach out to Kathleen by email at kpendleton@associatesbpl.org or by telephone at 617-536-3886.
