About
Committed to conserving history to fuel the future
We help raise awareness of—and access to—the Boston Public Library’s vast, free resources. The BPL is one of the world’s finest libraries. We help make it even better by supporting conservation and digitization projects, special programs, staff positions, and literary events.
What we do
Conservation is at the core of our work. But it’s just the beginning.
We hold some of Boston’s most popular literary events—including Literary Lights and the Hundred-Year Retroactive Book Award. We sponsor special exhibitions. We offer a highly sought-after Writer-in-Residence fellowship. And much more.

What we have accomplished
Our latest annual report gives you an overview of what we do and describes the work that we have accomplished. Plus, it features great photos of conserved items.
