Our Work

Fighting (and winning!) the war against time
Preserving priceless items in the Boston Public Library Special Collections requires researching, cataloging, repairing, stabilizing, rebinding, digitizing, and more. Without it, important manuscripts, books, musical scores, artwork, posters, historical items and more wouldn’t be available for future generations to see, study, and enjoy. Here are just some of the many items that we’ve helped save—and made available to the world.
